Our mission is to aid in the protection of the nation's critical infrastructure which provides the essential services that underpin American society.
According to Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21), there are 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered so vital to the United States that their damage or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety. In addtional to the 16 critical infrastructures of PPD-21, CCISR also considers Educational Institutions and Faith-based Institutions as additional critical infrastructures needing protection.
With the help of experts within government, industry and academia, CCISR works to address some of the nation’s toughest challenges through information sharing, research and public awareness campaigns about the vulnerability of our Nation’s critical infrastructure. CCISR does this by convening conferences, workshops, forums, roundtables, media packages, social media campaigns and research products. Our goal is to better educate decision makers and the general public while raising awareness and accountability related to critical infrastructure security and resilience.
